In this bachelor's thesis, two translations are provided, the first of a popular scientific article, and the second of a technical text. With both translations, an analysis is presented, elaborating on reasons why the author has chosen this particular typical translation obstacles of the given text and its genre. In the conclusion we can find various differences between the expected translation obstacles and the results from practice. It also further compares these two texts and their genres from the translation standpoint.

Analýza žánrové skladby české YouTube scény

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem žánrů v prostředí nových médií se specializací na největší internetovou platformu pro sdílení online videí, YouTube. Vzhledem k interaktivitě YouTube jako sociální sítě a kontaktu mezi tvůrcem obsahu a divákem vypovídá žánrová skladba YouTube kanálů také o preferencích jeho publika. Hlavním přínosem této práce je zpracovaná žánrová analýza české YouTube scény na vybraném vzorku pěti nejúspěšnějších českých profesionálních kanálů, na základě aktuálního pořadí podle počtu přihlášených odběratelů (konkrétně ViralBrothers, MenT, GEJMR, Jirka Král a Hoggy). Po základním představení principů fungování profesionální YouTube scény jsou dále v teoretické části práce definovány výchozí koncepty důležité pro stanovení metodologického rámce výzkumu. Analytická část obsahuje představení výsledků žánrové analýzy vybraných kanálů, kategorizaci žánrů do uceleného systému a je představena jejich základní definice a znaky.
